AICC Secretary (In charge UP)
Shri Parvez Hashmi is a senior congress leader and has been a four time MLA from Delhi. He holds a masters degree in Chemistry from AMU while he served as Cabinet Member of Aligarh Muslim University Students Union during 1972 to 1974. He was appointed General Secretary DPCC in 1996;he also rendered his services as a minister in Delhi Government with Transport and PWD as portfolio. Currently he is Rajya Sabha Member and serving as AICC secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh.

Currently he is a Rajya Sabha Member and serving as AICC secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh.

In the 1886 Calcutta convention, 72 people residing in the twenty one districts of Uttar Pradesh. took part, till that time permanent committees of Indian national Congress were already constituted in Madras, Bombay, Nagpur, Amrawati, Calcutta, Lahore & Allahabad.
